Various snow globes – “warming globes” as an inversion of “global warming” – conserve on the one hand the status quo of popular travel destinations and metropolises, such as Venice, Greenland, the Swiss mountain glaciers, and on the other hand their predicted transformation due to climate change until the year 2050.
At the same time, the project raises the question: What do we think is worth protecting? Which species are worth preserving, which are becoming extinct? Furthermore, the souvenir store as a metaphor also reflects the question: how will we travel in the future?
